Apache Junction Food BankThe Apache Junction Food Bank is located at 575 N Idaho Rd # 701 in Apache Junction. Our Church collects packaged food items for the food bank. If you would like to help in this effort, there is a box in the church kitchen to place your items. The Food Bank runs on 100% volunteer efforts and they are always in need of help. If you would like to volunteer for a few hours a week contact Apache Junction Food Bank at
480-983-2995.
You can also have your Basha’s card linked to the Food Bank. Then a percentage of your purchases will be sent to the food bank from Basha’s. Next time you are shopping just give the cashier the number 24240 before she rings you up (you only have to do this one time.)
Some areas of need are:
1) Truck drivers and assistants 6:30 to 11:00 am 2) Processors - check fruit, eggs and repackage flour, sugar, etc. 9:00 am - noon. 3) Front Desk - greet people and process them for qualification 2:00 - 4:00 pm. 4) Distributors - Pull food from shelves for distribution to qualified recipients 1:00 - 4:00 pm. 5) Board Members - Interest in operational functions of the food bank - Meet first Tuesday of the month. Casa de AmorOur Church helps support Casa de Amor. Casa is a Baptist Center and is there to help the needy in the valley. They offer food and clothing for walk in's and Casa de Amor has furniture available for families in need with a Pastor recommendation for specific
items (Bed, Couch, Tables, Lamps etc.) Our Church has a box in the foyer of the Church to collect the macaroni and cheese that our Church has committed to supply every month. We collect 200+ boxes per month. If you would like a tour of Casa or would like to volunteer there during the week please call Barbara Erman (Director) at 480-464-2877.
